I'm going to come right out and say it - I am scared of girls who wear huge sunglasses. They sit on the train looking straight ahead and not moving or smiling, and they don't seem to care that in fifteen years time, their children will be rolling around in hysteric laughter at the sight of photos of them. Although I don't find them funny at all, because they make me think of shows like Dr Who - they would be perfect candidates for aliens to possess and turn into zombie-type monsters. How scary would that be, all these girls floating along with arms in front of them squeaking "Exterminate! Exterminate!" and with HUGE mirror-like glasses on. Maybe behind the glasses could be red lasers, or the holes through which their souls were sucked out. Frightening.
So, what's your weird and irrational fear?
By the way, if any of my readers wear oversized sunnies - I am absolutely sure I would not be scared of you.

I'm afraid of Victoria Beckham. I really am.
Those huge glasses only work on a VERY VERY select few. Audrey Hepburn was one. I probably totally mispelled her name. But she could pull off those huge glasses. I - with my huge mellon of a head - cannot.
I don't have a weird irrational fear. But I really dislike when women of all shapes and sizes just latch onto whatever the fashion trend of the moment is. And to think of the example has actually brought me to my weird irrational dislike. Low rise jeans. They're awesome on a lithe 20-something body with zero % body fat. But I must convince the other majority of the world that is NOT lithe, nor 20-something NOR having zero % body fat that they should NOT WEAR LOW RISE JEANS. Or if you do? Wear longer SHIRTS. I do NOT want to have to see the lower portion of the gut that the higher waisted jeans might somehow control.
Ok. I'm done.
i don't wear HUGE glasses, but i do wear decent sized ones. i was skeptical until i borrowed some and decided i loved them because they just work better at shielding the sun. twenty years from now my children will probably be mocking me because i'm still wearing larger sunglasses :)
Sara: Actually, that is a much better irrational fear than mine. She is really scary.
Lynette: The thing about the glasses that scares me the most is that the really big ones make girls seem like they have no personality. Which brought on the Dr Who monster with soul sucked out idea. Ugh.
By the way, I agree about low rise jeans.
Jenkneebee: Don't worry, I'm not trying to attack big sunnies in general. Of those photos I included, the one on the bottom left shouldn't actually be there because I think those sunglasses are a permissible size. Anything bigger - scary. My sunnies aren't huge or even that big but they're definitely not small.
I have an irrational fear of characters in costumes, like the ones at disney...Mickey and Goofey, you can't see their eyes. They creeped me out as a kid, still do as an adult. I will go the other way if I see a clown or character in the mall!!
I'm scared that Britney will procreate again! :)
